Founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Gabriela Granados, the American Bolero Dance Company explores the rhythmic intricacies and song literature of Flamenco, the refined and stylized repertory of Clásico Español and the traditions of Escuela Bolera, with the flair and electricity of Broadway productions. ABDC has enjoyed rave reviews from both the press and audiences world-wide. In 2002, ABDC established its Spanish Dance School.

Directed and choreographed by Gabriela Granados, FlamencoLIC showcases popular flamenco and rarely performed dance genres Clásico Español and Escuela Bolera (an 18th century form of Spanish classical dance), along with arias and duets from Spanish operetta (or Zarzuela), in an intimate black box theatrical setting that allowing the audience an up close and personal show-going experience.

The stellar ensemble features some of the finest flamenco and classical music and dance artists from New York City, including dancers Gabriela Granados, José Moreno, Adriana Jacinto and Debra Anich, flamenco singer Aurora Reyes, baritone Peter Castaldi, mezzo-soprano Darcy Dunn, guitarists Basilio Georges and Cristian Puig, percussionist Guillermo Barrón, pianist William Hobbs, and violinist Hojin Kim.  Additional choreography by Mr. Moreno will also be presented.


Admission is $35 Adults, $30 Seniors & Students (with ID), and $20 Kids under 17.
